Sylar from the TV series Heroes.
Just to clear things up, the reason I called this piece 'Gabriel' was to sort of create a paradox between his ordinary character and Sylar, as a sort of oxymoron, if you will.
I did an earlier work of him, but that was before I knew what he looked like. Finally finished watching the series!
Technical info:
This took around 12 - 16 hours to complete, done with my Genius tablet in PS CS2. I put a hell of a lot of time into fine details and facial textures- especially that damn beard. I did another version where the eyes weren't clouded over but I wasn't sure which looked better... you can check the other one in my scraps here-
[link] please tell me which one you think looks better.
Here is the 1st WIP:

i prefer gabriel to sylar, because i like the whole supernatural/surreal concept, it makes it more original and it is actually pretty hard to get that clouded effect, i have tried it numerous times and there is always something off, but you have done an exquisite job, so why ruin a great thing? i think that it would make the blue iris fit better if you put the lightest highlight of blue through the eyelashes without overdoing it . i think the fact that the eyes looked so interesting in gabriel is partly why i faved this to begin with. the blue also creates more emotion for some reason, probably because they look more 3d (which always helps), where the brown ones look a little flat in comparison. i thought of another thing after looking at them again, the blue tones highlight the lighter tones in this image, really complimenting the contrast between the light and dark tones.
but in terms of sylar, the composition is really great, the tone of the eyes compliment the skin tone and mesh really nicely with the portrait.
